To plan and make (something) for a specific use or purpose.

What is User Interface Design?

A user interface is the interface through which a user interacts with a device.

First GUI (Graphical User Interface) was introduced in 1980’s. This created the User Interface Design field.

First GUI based computer was Apple’s Lisa. It was released in 1983. Was not successful. Macintosh followed up in 1984, with a refined core design language including iconography and typefaces design by Susan Kare.
